Ethno-botany accounts for the study of relationship between people and plants for their use as
medicines, food, shelter, clothing, fuel, fodder and other household purposes. India is a repository of
medicinal plants. Different medicinal plant parts and their products have been used in traditional
medicine since time immemorial. They still play an important role in effective disease control with no
side effect and have natural origin. They are considered as the great source of unique compounds for
the development of medicines for the cure of various diseases. The present article is an attempt to
explore and comprehensively highlight the biological activities, pharmacological actions and medicinal
applications of three plants namely Acacia nilotica, Albizia saman, Azadirachta indica.
