This chapter introduced a new concept “Molecular Sociology” as an attempt by the author to derive a
new branch of sociology. The fruit of various publications of the author led him to think about
molecular sociology as a new branch of sociology. These studies in depth investigated initiatives and
motivations of human behaviors that are can’t be easily explained according to the existing theories.
We took into consideration that human behavior is a complex phenomenon and can’t be put in one
frame. Through several studies, we showed that molecular sociology involves molecular changes that
can attribute to violent behaviors. Exposure to heavy metals, particularly lead (pb) can lead to
committing aggressive actions and induction of negative perception that may end with jailing. Vitamin
D deficiency may lead to medical and social alterations and deviations. Depression and addiction
were significantly associated with vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency. We also showed that being
infected with pathogens such as latent toxoplasmosis may lead changes in perception and
engagement in a wide spectrum of violent actions. Nowadays, pandemic COVID-19 has introduced
strong evidence how disease can impact social activity. Taken together, we think that it is time to talk
about molecular sociology as a new branch of sociology to be well framed in future and to be in depth
investigated.
