Abstract

The entire world witnessed the Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) gruesome effects with the total number of confirmed cases as 187,519,789 including 4,049,372 deaths till 14th July 2021 as per WHO dashboard. Since its onset in December 2019 researchers were looking for measures to fight against and surpass it, because of that preventive measures like social distancing of 3 feet, wearing proper face-mask and hand sanitization have become the inevitable daily behavior for all of us. Also, the role of immunity-enhancing measures has been advocated to decrease the self-risk from getting infected with the virus or if infected to get the milder form. Also, the Hydroxychloroquine(HCQ) drug having multifaceted effects anti-inflammatory, antiviral, immune-modulator has been vastly advocated by different National advisory including India as a prophylactic measure and treatment against COVID-19 in initial periods of 2020. Here, we have put on facts on immunity boosters and the role of HCQ in COVID-19.
